Kristina Kapilin is a Danish/Faroese artist, sound designer, and educator. Her practice explores the relationship between listening and storytelling, across performance, moving image, and audio-visual installation. Kristina’s work often addresses themes of memory, place, and ecology with a particular interest in how we perceive, remember, and retell stories through sound.

Her collaborative sound works have been presented on Resonance FM (UK) and Radiophrenia (UK), as well as at venues including Iklectik (UK), Sound Kitchen at Prague Quadrennial (CZ), and IRCAM Forum (FR). She has also designed sound for theatre productions, including Trade (The Pleasance/Omnibus Theatre), I Can’t Hear You (Theatre 503), But When? (The Hat Factory), and Juniper and Jules (Soho Theatre, as associate sound designer).

Kristina is currently an Academic Support Lecturer at Central Saint Martins' performance programme, where she has also facilitated sound design workshops for BA and MA Performance: Design and Practice. Kristina is a graduate of MA Digital Direction at the Royal College of Art. She also holds a BA (Hons) Performance: Design and Practice from Central Saint Martins and a BA in English from Aarhus University. She is based in London, UK.
